Although positive changes are being made in China in order to protect both Chinese and Foreign brands, it is no secret that brand owners are experiencing huge challenges in terms of trademark theft, imitation, counterfeiting, patent and trademark infringement. In case that corporations and brand owners fall victim for any of the above, this meeting will show the process for restitution.
As a follow-up event of the meeting on the Trademark Law, the European Chamber is pleased to invite Ms. Hanna Severin, Security Consultant and Shanghai Office Manager, PSU China Consulting to perform an interactive session starting off with a practical introduction into potential questions covering:
- How to monitor and detect infringement?
- How to handle IP theft?
- How to gather admissible evidence of trademark or patent infringement?
- How to continuously work against infringement preventively?
Further, this event will bring up some valuable takeaways and “dos & don’ts” in relation to IPR strategy, targeting both online and offline challenges. Meanwhile, we aim to create a workshop style session where the participants are able to ask questions and raise challenges connected to their own brand, and share experiences and best practices.
