Dear Members of Auto Components Working Group,
The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to join the upcoming Auto Components Working Group Meeting: Deloitte's Latest Global Automotive Consumer Study and 2019/2020 Chair Election at 10.00-12.00, 4 April 2019 at the European Chamber Shanghai Office.
During the meeting, we will hold the Elections for the Auto Components Working Group firstly. Then, Mr. Andrey Berdichevskiy, Director, Automotive Mobility Solutions Lead, Deloitte will deliver a presentation on Deloitte's Latest Global Automotive Consumer Study, the presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with interactive discussions on the topic. 10:00 – 10:20 am
· Roundtable Introduction
· Opening Remarks by Mr. Serafino Bartolozzi, Vice Chair of Auto Components Working Group Shanghai;
· Introduction of the process of Election and candidates’ speech, each 5 minutes; and
· Voting for the candidates
10.20 – 10.30 am
· Introduction of the Auto components Working Group 2019 Mini Position Paper
10:30 am– 12:00 pm
· Presentation by Mr. Andrey Berdichevskiy on Deloitte's Latest Global Automotive Consumer Study;
· Q&A and Discussion;
· Any other business; and
· Announce the Election Result.
Chair Elections:
In this meeting, 2019 AC Working Group Chair Election will be organized. Chair and Vice-Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group, which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to Chinese and European government authorities and steering Working Group meetings.
Should you be interested in putting your name forward for election or nominate any candidate, please send a short biography and a motivation letter, stating whether you intend to run for Chair or Vice Chair and your plans to promote the working group to Ms. Tiantian Qi at tqi@europeanchamber.com.cn no later than Thursday 28 March, 2019.
In accordance with European Chamber internal guidelines, another email will be sent to the Working Group prior to the election, with the biographies and motivation letters of all candidates attached. Voting for the election, one vote per company, must be conducted in person at the Working Group meeting after each candidate has had the opportunity to give a short speech on why they would like to run for election. The duration of the term for both Chairs and Vice Chairs is one year. All elected Chairpersons must sign the attached Code of Conduct, following the election. To familiarize yourself with the Code of Conduct and responsibilities as chairs, please refer to the attached Starter Kit.
We encourage as many of our members as possible to attend the meeting to have their say in the leadership and representation of the Working Group in the year ahead.
