The European Chamber Tianjin Chapter will hold its 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 5pm on 22nd May at Shangri-La Hotel Tianjin. At this year’s AGM, elections will be held for the positions of Chair (1), Vice Chair (1) and Board Member (3).
The AGM will be followed by a cocktail reception where members can mingle with the Chamber’s newly elected leadership team.
Meanwhile Mr. Jacob Gunter, Policy and Communications Manager of European Chamber will present and launch the fresh result of Business Confidence Survey 2019. He will share his insight of the development of the business environment in China recently and the Tianjin business environment based on the feedback from the Tianjin members in the Survey.

Information about European Chamber Board Election:
The Tianjin Chapter Board Election, where the Tianjin Chair for Board, the Vice Chair and Board Members will be elected. The Chair, Vice Chair and Board members shall be elected for a two-year term（2019-2021）.

You are welcome to cast your vote either in person or by designating a proxy to vote on your behalf.
1）You can vote in person by secret ballot at the election venue.
2) Assign a proxy to vote on your behalf by 15 May 2019 noon. Please fill in the proxy Form and send a scanned copy to Catherine Guo at cguo@europeanchamber.com.cn.
The proxy must be a colleague from your own legal entity and must be present to vote. This requirement has only one exception for the Individual member, who may give his/her proxy to another individual member/corporate member in Tianjin Chapter.
Proxies received after the deadline and in a format different from those listed above will not be accepted.

Mr. Jacob Gunter
As senior policy and communications manager at the European Chamber, Jacob leads on a variety of publications, media issues, policy analysis and high-level messaging. Jacob has led on and overseen key European Chamber publications, including thematic reports like, Decoupling: Severed Ties and Patchwork Globalisation, the BRI focused, The Road Less Travelled, and the audit of China’s reform agenda after President Xi’s Davos speech in 2017, 18 Months Since Davos, as well as the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Executive Position Papers and Business Confidence Surveys, as well as many of the Chamber’s Local Position Papers. Prior to working at the European Chamber, Jacob completed his Masters degree in international studies at the Johns Hopkins-Nanjing University Centre for Sino-American Studies.
