With about 28 - year Chinese tax experience, Anna is the Vice Director of the Tax Department of BASF China, based in Shanghai.

Since joining BASF Shanghai end of 2006, she advises BASF on China – related tax matters, such as M&A, TP matters and tax compliance. Prior to joint BASF, Anna was a tax Manager in another multinational company in Beijing and a tax official worked in the State Administration of Taxation (“SAT”), P.R.C, China.

She has 20 – years professional experience on serving and advising companies on numerous business transactions including procurement, manufacturing, financing, cross border supply chain and transfer pricing. She assisted the company in developing tax strategies for operations in China and building up line of defense during tax audits.

Anna was a tax official of the State Administration of Taxation (SAT), People's Republic of China from 1989 through 1997, and was mainly responsible for making tax policies related to foreign investment and foreign expatriates working in China. She represented China in an IMF seminar regarding VAT reform with various countries, participated in drafting the VAT, Business Tax and Consumption Tax Law and regulations that have been effective since 1994.

Anna received an EMBA by the State University of New Jersey, 2002 and Bachelor major in Economic Law, Beijing University, 1985.

He has 12 years experience in China tax and business advisory services and is now leveraging his rich China tax consulting experience to help his client to transform the tax function in light of the digitalization trends of tax administration in China.
Nicholas has been involved in various assignments with foreign companies and domestic companies in the industries of clean energy, long-distance power transmission, construction management, metal smelting, automobile, food and agricultural products and etc. The services provided by Nicholas covers the tax advisory, tax risk management and tax dispute resolution in the multinational operation, acquisition and due diligence, VIE structure reforming, indirect equity transfer and other tax issues in daily business operation and investment activities.
Since 2014, Nicholas participated in the “Tax risk self-control evaluation system” program sponsored by SAT Large Enterprise Administration Division (“SAT LEAD”) and closely work with the tax authorities and various client in the implementation of “Thousand Group Taxpayer Program” (also known as “QianHu”).
Nicholas has extensive experience in helping the MNC, SOE and POE companies to improve the effectiveness of tax function, though evaluating the tax management maturity, redesigning the tax management organization, defining the tax sensitive data and standardizing the internal data flow, establishing the tax risk indicators, tax data visualization and tax compliance automation and Robotic Processing Automation (“RPA”).
Nicholas is a Certified Tax Agent (“CTA”) of China.

Ms. Amy Wang is a Partner for ERM China based in Shanghai office, and also Chemical Sector Lead.
