The European Chamber, IPR Working Group invites Members to the upcoming meeting with Guangdong Intellectual Property Office (GIPO). This will be a working level meeting with the Law Enforcement & Supervision Division directly involved in dealing with infringement cases. Presentations and discussion would address the role of GIPO and practical tips for patent protection for companies operating in Guangdong Province.

Guangdong Intellectual Property Office enforces patent laws and policies enacted by the State, drafts local laws and regulations and organizes provincial patent protection work with the purpose of improving systematic construction of intellectual property creativity, application, protection and management. It also organizes work related to provincial patent administrative enforcement and market supervision, handling and mediating patent conflicts and punishing patent-law violating behaviors based on the law.
