Presentation of the European Business in China Position Paper 2007/2008
The European Chamber Pearl River Delta chapter is delighted to invite our members, Consulates, national chambers, trade commissions and representatives from the media to the Presentation of the European Business in China Position Paper 2007/2008.
The European Business in China Position Paper 2007/2008 presents the European Chamber independent perspective with supporting evidence on the business environment in China after its completion of the WTO transitional period. In the Position Paper, answers are provided to key questions such as:
- Has the overall situation for European companies operating in China improved?
- What difficulties remain and what new challenges have emerged?
- What progress has China made in improving transparency in the regulation of foreign companies?
- What developments have we seen in the treatment of intellectual property rights?
- What should the priorities be for further reforms in the opening of China market?
The views and suggestions in the Position Paper reflect the joint efforts, concerns, recommendations and assessments of the European Chamber Working Groups and more than 1200 member companies, covering the range of European business engagement in China, where European companies are the largest source of foreign investment.
