European Tour 2018 Review

Led by Chamber President Mats Harborn, a delegation of representatives from the Chamber’s boards and working groups visited Brussels for a series of meetings with European Union (EU) intuitions and business associations from 24th to 28th September. In total, around 27 high-level meetings and over 30 working-level meetings and events took place.

The meetings evaluated important current developments taking part in EU-China relations and how these developments might affect European business in China. The delegation also delivered key messaging from the Chamber’s recently released publications—European Business in China Position Paper 2018/2019 and 18 Months Since Davos: How China’s Vision Became a Reform Imperative.

At the first EU-China Forum in Brussels on 25th September, the European Chamber was honoured by the presence of HE Zhang Ming, Chinese Ambassador to the European Union, and Pawel Swieboda, Deputy Head of the European Political Strategy Centre of the European Commission.
