IOT ONE, Ward Howell International, MING Labs, and Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to form a partnership for supporting product creators to leverage the digital innovation potential of Asia’s rapid technology development.
The MOU was signed by Michael Maeder, Managing Partner of Ward Howell International, China; Erik Walenza, CEO of IoT ONE; Matthias Roebel, CEO of MING Labs, and Toni Cheng, General Manager of Alibaba Cloud, DACH and CEE region. The four parties will jointly launch the Asia Digital Alliance to support industrial companies in developing digital strategies and solutions in Asia. Building on the complementary know-how and core capabilities of the alliance partners, the Asia Digital Alliance provides end-to-end support for digital transformation in the areas of research, organizational enablement, and technology adoption.
The guiding principle of the Asia Digital Alliance is to connect technology and domain experts to simplify the challenging task of implementing cross-border digitalization initiatives. This principle aligns closely with the vision of Alibaba – making it easy to do business everywhere. The Digital Alliance is open to partners of all sizes who seek win-win cooperation.
The alliance is anchored by two flagship programs – the Industrial Digital Lab, and the Asia Digital Office. The Industrial Digital Lab drives agile innovation sprints by combining internal and external experts. The program de-risks digital innovation in Asia by decreasing the time and cost to validate and build a concept. The Asia Digital Office provides ongoing access to the alliance partners to ensure that small and medium organizations have the right capabilities at the right time to realize their strategies in Asia.
