HR Sharing Salon Session I: Employee Experience Improvement Achieved Success

Cao Cao used to express the significance of respecting talents with a view to governing a country in his famous poem A Short Song. Talents were to country in the old days what employees are to companies nowadays. Employee experience matters because it has a direct impact on how committed each person is to moving the business forward.

The 1st session of “HR Sharing Salon: Employee Experience Improvement" hosted by European Chamber Shenyang Chapter was held on July 26th at Shenyang New World EXPO, 4th Floor, EXPO Gallery. Mr. Fuchen Bi, the Chairman of European Chamber Shenyang Chapter HR Forum and the Human Resource Director or Michelin Shenyang Tire Co., Ltd., Ms. Nancy Wang, Human Resource Department Manager of Shenyang New World EXPO, and Mr. Subash Chander Ganapathy, the Head of Talent Management from BMW Brilliance Automotive Malaysia delivered keynote speeches themed on employee experience to about 20 entrepreneurs and HR executives at the scene.

Started with employees' sense of belonging, self-development and value recognition, Nancy discussed the importance of creating a good environment for employee experience with her work practice in New World Expo. In addition, she shared her thoughts in each phase throughout the employee experience journey.

Following Nancy’s sharing, Fuchen introduced their Coaching Leadership strategy in empowering employees known as the “Michelin Being and Doing” which is a programme that let employees feel sense of gain and satisfaction by trusting them and letting them be willing to develop themselves and to influence others around to strive to self-development and to improve their performance as teams.

Finally, Subash introduced BMW Malaysia company’s employee experience improvement strategies via zoom online. With the thoughtfully designed employee experience feedback system, they may adjust EX strategy in a targeted manner so as to better stimulate the potential of employees and to enhance employees' sense of mission, letting them realize and enjoy the meaningfulness of what they are doing.

During Q&A sessions, audience and the speakers had a constructive exchange on the practice and theory of HR management and employee experience improvement. EX actions vary from one industry to another and under the collision of ideas, the 1st HR sharing salon came to a successful ending.
