EXECUTIVE BRUNCH- LIMITED LIABILITY IN CHINESE CORPORATION LAW, AND THE LEGAL CONSEQUENCES

On Sept. 16th, Mr. Jeffrey Wang, an experienced Chinese Law expert, was invited by European Chamber of Commerce to give a lecture regarding the insight knowledge of Chinese Company Law at 99 Zhong Shan Road, Nanjing, EUCC's Nanjing head office.

The lecture in particular focuses on the Limited Liability principle and its exception 'Piercing the Corporate Veil' rules, which basically means that in certain circumstances, the shareholder and management team might be liable for company debts.  Jeffrey introduced two typical real life cases to arouse the attention of the audience, followed up by concepts, explanations and detailed scenarios of how the rules apply in legal proceedings.  He further made interesting comments on the most recent Chinese Company Law reform 2014 and gave his unique view of the consequences in the practical ends of law enforcement.
