Stakeholders Consultation Meeting on EU-China Circular Economy Cooperation
Following the signature of the EU-China MoU on circular economy this summer, the EU Delegation is working on a work programme for the dialogue and cooperation. The aim of the meeting is to hear from various stakeholders about the state of play of work on circular economy and what would be useful in terms of future activities.

As part of this programme, Commissioner Moedas and a small European Delegation had a lunch briefing with the European Chamber’s Advisory Council to receive some industry input in preparation for a subsequent afternoon meeting with Minister Wang Zhigang of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

On 11th September, around 120 policy makers, national authorities, industries, city governments, academics, civil societies and other stakeholders from China and Europe attended the EU-China Industry Workshop on New Types of Urbanisation 2018. The workshop was organised by the European Chamber and China Academy of Urban Planning and Design (CAUPD) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD). Funded by the European Commission under HORIZON 2020, the workshop was part of the EU-China Innovation Platform on Sustainable Urbanisation (URBAN-EU-CHINA).
