European External Action Service Head of Division for China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Mongolia Mr. Ellis Mathews and EU Delegation to China Political Section Minister Counsellor Mr. Marco Ferri met with the European Chamber Vice President Mr. Bertrand de la Noue and Secretary General Mr. Adam Dunnett. The meeting includes discussions on the ongoing reform in China, China’s Market Economy Status, Comprehensive Investment Agreement and Foreign Policy Instrument.

On Friday, 6 January 2017, the European Chamber Nanjing Chapter visited Zhenjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone. Mr. Xue Feng, the Director General of the Development Zone and his colleagues attended the meeting. Mr. Bernhard Weber, Chair of European Chamber Nanjing Board briefly introduced Nanjing Position Paper 2017 to Mr. Xue. Meanwhile, the two parts discussed about the development of foreign investment in Zhenjiang. The both sides had the intention to improve the business environment for the European enterprises in Zhenjiang with referring to the policy comments addressed in the Position Paper.
