Seminar on Innovation and IP

On April 10, Development Research Centre of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and Shanghai Municipal Intellectual Property Administration (SIPA) jointly organized a seminar – The International Think Tank Bilateral Seminar on the Supporting Role Intellectual Property Plays in the Building of Shanghai as a Sci-tech Innovation Centre with Global Influence. Lv Guoqiang, Director General of SIPA, delivered a keynote speech. According to Lv, CPC Shanghai Committee has listed the task of “building Shanghai as a sci-tech innovation centre with global influence” as its top priority of this year and urges the government officials solicit opinions of sci-tech innovation needs and IPR demands from SOEs, Chinese and foreign private companies. Ioana Kraft, General Manager of EUCCC Shanghai Chapter, gave a speech on Fostering Innovation in Shanghai – European Companines’ Recommendations and shared the Chamber’s perspectives on this topic.
