European Chamber Shenyang Chapter Led Member Companies Participate in the 3rd Joint Meeting of Foreign-invested Enterprises in Shenyang

On the afternoon of November 28th, 2024, representatives from member companies of the European Chamber Shenyang Chapter attended the 3rd Joint Meeting of Foreign-invested Enterprises, hosted by the Shenyang Municipal Commerce Bureau. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Li Xuemei, the Second-Level Inspector of the Commerce Bureau. During the session, Mr. Leo Liu, the office manager of European Chamber Shenyang Chapter and the representatives from member companies addressed several key concerns, including issues related to the permanent residence permit for foreign nationals, traffic enforcement, air quality concerns, underground water resource taxes, government subsidy realization, and international direct flights to Shenyang. Government officials from various departments, including the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Foreign Affairs Office, the governments of Tiexi District (Economic Development Zone) and Dadong District, as well as leaders from the Science and Technology Bureau, Public Security Bureau, Ecological Environment Bureau, and Water Affairs Bureau, were invited to engage in face-to-face discussions with the European Chamber's member companies. They listened to specific concerns and provided responses and suggestions. The Municipal Bureau of Commerce also promised to continue following up on the issues raised, resulting in a positive outcome from the meeting.

Mr. Liu also expressed gratitude to the government officials for their attentiveness and patience in addressing the concerns of foreign-invested enterprises. He also emphasized the Chamber’s eagerness to further strengthen communication between the government and businesses. Through the Chamber's role as a bridge, Mr. Liu hopes to resolve practical issues for foreign enterprises and make a substantive contribution to improving the business environment in Shenyang.
