European Chamber Shenyang Chapter Board and Representatives of Members Meet Government Officials during EXPO’s 6th Anniversary Celebration Event

Ms. Diane Chen, Board Member of European Chamber Shenyang Chapter (hereinafter referred to as European Chamber) and General Manager and Member of Board of Shenyang New World EXPO (Management) Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as EXPO), invited Mr. Bin Guo, Vice Director-General of Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce to EXPO’s 6^th Anniversary Celebration Event on March 22^nd 2023, delivering keynote speeches and exchanging ideas on the recovery and development of Liaoning exhibition industry in post-pandemic era. 

Ms. Diane Chen held the points that the ease of pandemic policy brings more and more opportunities for economy development, in which process, exhibition industry plays key role in resource complementary and integration as well as business and application innovation among different industrial chains, therefore, further improving the city attractiveness for talents and investments. European Chamber, EXPO and other members are ready to make contribution to local economy under the continuous and down-to-earth support from local governments to better business environment from all perspectives.

Started with congratulations to EXPO’s 6^th Anniversary, Mr. Bin Guo denoted that economy development is the first priority on governments 2023 to-do list, while exhibition industry is a good indicator measuring local economy. Governments at all levels are currently compiling series policies to boost local economy.

Meanwhile, Mr. Brad Mayne, the President/CEO of International Association of Venue Managers, Mr. Kai Hattendorf, Managing Director/CEO of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, Mr. Cliff Wallace, Senior Executive Advisor of EXPO as well as Mr. Michael Brierley, CEO of Venue Management Association (Asia Pacific) gave their congratulations to EXPO’s 6^th Anniversary and shared their thoughts on China exhibition industry based on global trends and conditions by way of onsite presence and videos.

The event successfully ended up with artistic performances and social dinner.
