Delegation of Tianjin Municipal People's Government attended the European Chamber Tianjin Chapter Local Position Paper 2023/2024 Launch

On March 10th, the Tianjin Chapter of the European Chamber launched its 2nd edition of Local Position Paper 2023/2024 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Tianjin. Dr. Christoph Schrempp, the Chair of the Tianjin Chapter briefed the 4 key recommendation areas in detail to the audience. The paper were well received by the Tianjin authorities.

A delegation of the Tianjin Municipal People's Government physically attended the launch event. The delegation consists of working level officials of Environment, Low Carbon Division of Tianjin Development and Reform Commission, Europe-Africa Division of Tianjin Foreign Affairs Office, Cooperation and Exchange Department of Tianjin Municipal Bureau of  Industry and Information Technology,  Investment Promotion Department of CCPIT Tianjin Branch and Industrial Zone Association. 

The second edition of the Tianjin Position Paper puts forward 20 constructive recommendations to address the local issues. These include refocussing on the city’s existing strengths, increasing the frequency and quality of industry-government dialogues, addressing barriers currently hindering carbon neutrality efforts and creating stronger links between industry and academia to develop talent pipelines.
