European Chamber Online Meeting with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commerce on Visa Issuance Updates

On 22nd June, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Commerce held an online meeting with the foreign chambers to brief the latest visa issuance policy for foreign nationals and dependents to China. Division Director Song of Department of Consular Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) introduced the optimised policies for visa issuance for foreign nationals to China.
European Chamber was invited to the meeting and raised challenges still faced by European companies and provided recommendations in relation to international flights, visa issuance and quarantine.
Division Director Song responded that a further optimised scheme for quarantine, along with other COVID-related policies - is being discussed by relevant authorities in order to further facilitate international exchange during the COVID time.
