Green Development Conference held in Shenyang, Position Paper presented to the Liaoning government leaders

The European Chamber Shenyang Chapter held its second Green Development Conference on 16th December in Shenyang, themed ‘Roads to the Goals of Zero Emissions’.

Around 120 people attended the event, including local government officials from the Department of Commerce, Development and Reform Commission (DRC), the Bureau of Industry and Information, the Bureau of Ecology and Environment and the Foreign Affairs Office – both on the provincial and municipal level. Mr Fu Yongliang, secondary inspector, department-level, Liaoning provincial DRC, delivered the keynote speech on Liaoning Green Development 14th Five-Year Plan. Top executives from BMW, Michelin and Dr Schneider shared best industry practices on building green supply chains, green plants and green strategies. Chairs of the Chamber’s Automotive Working Group and Carbon Market Sub-working Group also shared via pre-recorded video message their professional insights on the challenges and opportunities on the road to carbon neutrality, as well as their current foci.
