Chamber Leaders Participate in ‘Connecting Shandong with Fortune Global 500 and Deepening Shandong-EU Cooperation’ Conference, Meet with Shandong Party Secretary

On 18th June, the ‘Connecting Shandong with Fortune Global 500 and Deepening Shandong-EU Cooperation’ conference, which was supported by the European Chamber, was successfully held with 200 participants onsite and over 1,000 audience members joining online. The conference’s main venue was in Jinan, with sub-venues in Shandong’s 16 municipalities. This is the second year for the Chamber to support such an event by inviting its members of European companies.
President Joerg Wuttke delivered a speech via video. He mentioned that the Chamber will sign a MOU with the National Sports Administration and Ministry of Education on organising a series of events regarding 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and integration of sports and education. He also presented the Shandong key findings of the Business Confidence Survey 2021, and touched upon carbon neutrality.
Vice President (VP) Guido Giacconi participated onsite at the main conference in Jinan, and presented the Chamber’s recent published Business Confidence Survey 2021 to Liu Jiayi, Party Secretary of Shandong Province.
