Meeting with NEA and EPPEI on China-Europe Energy Cooperation

2021-05-11 | Beijing

On 11 May, representatives of the European Chamber's Energy Working Group met with the National Energy Administration (NEA) International Cooperation Department and the China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI) on the prospect of China-Europe Energy Cooperation.

Entrusted by NEA, EPPEI has established four Work Streams (working groups) in the following areas: Smart Energy, Hydrogen Energy, Wind Energy and Energy Storage. The objective of these Work Streams would be for European and Chinese companies to discuss the latest energy cooperation opportunities and activities. Recently, the kick-off meetings of the work streams have taken place. We have discussed about the general workplan, and proposed to add an additional work stream on Carbon Management, which is crucial for the energy transition.
