European Wood Desk seminar with Chinese market and industry stakeholders and Estonian wood delegation

Summary:

Mr. Peter Edwards, Working Group Coordinator, welcomed attendees to this European Chamber hosted Business-to-Business seminarwith Chinese market and industry stakeholders and Estonian wood delegation, and introduced the European Chamber.

A series of presentations were made throughout the course of the seminar, as follows:

Mr. Zhu Guangqian, Honorary President, China Timber and Wood Product Distribution Association: “Import and Distribution of Wood and wooden products in China”;

Mr. Xiaoming, Operation Director, International Wood Industry Magazine: “Market of pre-built wooden houses in China”;

Mr. Shaoming Zhang, Chair, European WoodDesk: “Introduction to the field of Building with Wood in China, including building codes for timber structures, building system and components of wood market in China”;

Mr. Zhu Changling, President, China National Furniture Association: “Soft Wood Furniture market in China”

All stakeholders agreed to further strengthen and build long-term relations.
