Preparing meeting of Project Steering Committee- component B, EU-China Energy Cooperation Platform (ECECP)

EU-China Energy Cooperation Platform (ECECP) was launched on the 15th of May 2019 in Beijing. It is a practical tool to support and operationalise the Energy Dialogue and to deliver on the specific objectives of EU-China bilateral energy cooperation. The objective of the project is to increase mutual trust and understanding between the two strategic partners and contribute to a global transition towards clean energy on the basis of a common vision of a sustainable, reliable and predictable energy system, in line with the EU's Energy Union, the Clean Energy for All Europeans and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

Component B of ECECP is to promote, facilitate and support increased access to Chinese energy market of technology and financing solutions provided by EU companies to advance clean energy transition to China.

For the purpose of effective implementation of Component B, Energy WG selected representatives met the European Commission’s Directorate-General Energy, to discuss about the implementation of Component B of ECECP and EUCCC members’ involvement and participation, the relative issues raised on the composition and procedures of PSC and presentation of annual work plans of the ECECP.
