EU Member States Health Counselors Meeting on Pharmaceuticals

On 14 November, the European Chamber Pharmaceutical working group representatives were invited to attend the EU Member States Health Counselors Meeting organized by the European Union Delegation to China. 

During the meeting, Ms. Agnes Saint-Raymond, Head of International Affairs Division of the European Medical Agency, briefed the participants the outcome of the EU-China Regulatory Dialogue which took place on 24 October in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Representatives of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations presented its regulatory priorities including the administration of human genetic resources, harmonization of Pharmacopoeia and product lifecycle management. 

Ms. Li Ye, on behalf of the European Chamber Pharmaceutical working group, presented the participants the main topics discussed at the EU-China Industry Meeting, a meeting between the pharmaceutical working group members and National Medical Products Administration following the official regulatory dialogue in Amsterdam. She highlighted a few topics that both sides are paying greater attention to, such as acceleration of drug registration, marketing authorization holder, implementation of ICH guidelines, etc.
