Meeting with Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission

On 10th September, European Chamber Southwest Chapter General Manager Sally Huang, and Chongqing Office Manager Camellia Song met with Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission led by Chi Fu, Director of Foreign Economy and Foreign Affairs Office.
Firstly, Ms. Sally Huang introduced how European Chamber plays the role to help foreign business and local government communicate with each other, help foreign enterprises understand newly policies and local government acquire foreign companies’ thoughts and demands timely. Then, Sally presented the Southwest China Position Paper 2018/2019 (local Position Paper) to Ms. Chi Fu. The local Position Paper puts forward recommendations to the local governments of Chengdu and Chongqing on how they can improve their local business environments and attract more international investment, while alleviating the concerns of European companies already operating in the region. Ms. Chi Fu affirmed the contribution of European Chamber Southwest Chapter in Chongqing and more cooperations between Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission and European Chamber would benefit foreign enterprises and improve Chongqing’s business environment in the future.
