Chamber Vice President Carlo D’Andrea Presents Business Confidence Survey to President of Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board

On 13th June, Carlo D’Andrea, vice president of the European Chamber and chair of the Shanghai Chapter board, met with Sun Xinhua, director general, Invest Shanghai, president of Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board, and presented key findings of the European Chamber’s Business Confidence Survey.

Mr D’Andrea highlighted a few concerns members raised in the survey, such as growing ambiguity in regulations and the unpredictable legislative environment. As a former WTO expert, Sun shared his observations on the development of the local business environment, the changing regulatory landscape in China and the urgency of solving US-China trade disputes under the WTO framework. Both parties have agreed to engage in regular dialogues to exchange information.
