Meeting with Director-General of Nanjing Investment Promotion Bureau

On 21st May, Mr Bernhard Weber, chair of the European Chamber Nanjing Chapter, and the chapter’s board members met with Mr Mu Genglin, director general of the Nanjing Investment Promotion Bureau.

Mr Weber gave a brief introduction to the Chamber and the work it has undertaken recently. Mr Mu in turn outlined the mandate of the newly-founded Nanjing Investment Promotion Bureau and shared his plan to build a long-term channel for dialogue with the Chamber. The two sides agreed that the communication platform will be vital in improving Nanjing’s business environment. Mr Mu also expressed interest in the next Nanjing Position Paper, saying he looked forward to having future discussions on the publication.

The Nanjing Chapter also presented Mr Mu with the newly released Business Confidence Survey 2019.
