Meeting with Nanjing Foreign Affairs Office

Mr Bernhard Weber, Chairman of the European Chamber Nanjing Chapter Board met with Mr Xia Yan, Deputy Director General of Nanjing Foreign Affairs Office on 23rd April.

Mr Xia introduced the new Foreign Affairs Committee and its role and updated the progress of local government re-organisation. Mr Weber thanked Mr. Xia for his support in the past years and shared the concerns from European Business on the local business environment. He suggested the regular dialogue channel between European business and local government should be maintained and expanded. The upcoming Europe Day celebration and innovation fair event was also discussed.

Mr Weber also presented the European Business in China Position Paper to Mr Xia.
