Meeting with Vice Governor of Sichuan

On 17th April, the vice governor of Sichuan Provincial Government, Mr Wang Yihong, received a delegation from the European Chamber led by Vice President (VP) Massimo Bagnasco.
Vice Governor Wang Yihong outlined the latest developments in Sichuan as well as the Sichuan government’s commitment to support local industries. On behalf of the European Chamber, VP Bagnasco thanked Vice Governor Wang for Sichuan's efforts on improving business environment for European business, updated on the recent EU-China Summit and presented the European Chamber's European Business in China Position Paper 2018/2019.
Southwest China Chapter Chair Paul Sives gave a brief introduction of the chapter to the vice governor, as well as a summary of the recently published Southwest China Position Paper 2018/2019. The vice governor welcomed what he called the constructive suggestions from the European business community and thanked the delegation for the meeting. Both sides agreed to continue to cooperate in the future.
After the meeting, the European Chamber was contacted by the Sichuan provincial government to follow up on the delegation’s recommendations on training and recruitment of skilled workers.
