Meeting with Vice President of China Tourism Academy (CTA)

On the 2nd March 2010, the European Chamber’s Travel Working Group met with Vice President of China Tourism Academy to present the latest Position Paper and discuss future possibilities of cooperation. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Vice President Dai Bin who expressed the interest to further cooperate with the European Chamber of Commerce and the Travel Working Group. Issues discussed included the opening up of outbound tourism that would allow European companies to send Chinese travellers to Europe and implementation rules of Travel Agency Regulation (TAR) for inbound tourism. Mr. Dai also shared his views on the current situation on Chinese tourism market as well as the positive developments and future prospects of the industry. The meeting was concluded by both sides inviting for future cooperation, through frequent communications and possibility of co-hosting events in the near future.
