Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce Visits the Chamber Tianjin Chapter

On 22^nd February, Ms Zeng Yan, the new Deputy Director General (DDG) of the Tianjin Municipal Commerce Bureau, visited the European Chamber Tianjin Chapter, along with representatives from the bureau’s divisions tasked with developing and managing foreign investment.

European Chamber Tianjin Chapter General Manager Catherine Guo and Event Manager Lorraine Zhang received their visit, and had a fruitful discussion with them. Apart from introducing the new structure of the Commerce Bureau, the meeting also covered: plans to improve the Tianjin business environment; the US-China trade conflict’s impact on Foreign Invested Enterprises (FIEs) in China; Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) development; and the local Free Trade Zone. In conclusion, DDG Zeng expressed strong interest in organizing high-level dialogues with the Chamber members and building a closer relationship.
