Attending 2018 Beijing Government Work Conference

Invited by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce(BJCOC), the European Chamber representatives attended the 2018 Beijing Government Work Conference. At the meeting, Mr. Yan Ligang, the Secretary and Director of Party Group of Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, reviewed the opportunities and challenges that the Beijing has experienced in the past five years, and provided an overview of government’s development plan in 2018.  Beijing Vice Mayor Ms. Cheng Hong pointed out that Beijing has undergone significant improvement in opening up in the service sector since the last couple of years. In 2018, Beijing is going to further open up and welcome the involvement of foreign-owned enterprises by continually lowering market access barriers and creating a fully-functioned and efficient business environment.
