Speech at the 2017 International Pharmaceutical Innovation Forum in Nanjing

With the theme of "Promoting International Industrial Cooperation and  Integrating China into the International Innovation System", the International Pharmaceutical Innovation Forum is aimed to create a platform for international and Chinese R&D based pharmaceutical industry players to share their ideas on innovation and look for solutions to overcome barriers.

Mr. Adam Dunnett, Secretary General of the European Chamber, was invited to give a keynote speech in the Forum to share experiences from European perspectives. During the speech, Mr. Dunnett shared European Chamber's research findings in the recent Business Confidence Survey and China Manufacturing 2025 and called for a more open and equal market for both foreign and domestic players. Mr. Dunnett also addressed that if China would like to climb up the global value chain through innovation, certain areas including IPR protection, rule of law and market access needed to be improved.
