The Role

As a Developer Relations Manager, APAC, you will be at the center of innovation with Bluetooth.  You will be on the front lines, talking to partners and developers about the technologies, while taking these experiences internally and acting as the voice of the developer for future products.  You will also be instrumental in guiding our developer programs, and how we grow this community.  You will take part in industry events and Bluetooth events helping to spread awareness of the technology and also train developers on how to create Bluetooth applications.  You will also be key to the management and creation of content to help developers reach their goals and answer questions.

Note: You will be hired through Bluetooth SIG’s APAC Independent Contractor, Intralink.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Travel Requirements: up to 25-35%

Roles and Responsibilities

·         Building out the fledgling Bluetooth developer program – including the creation and implementation of code for sample applications, technical training, and documentation

·         Partnering with development and ecosystem communities to drive the creation of innovative apps

·         Partnering with Bluetooth SIG membership and regional marketing teams to help educate and evangelize to companies and media/analyst audiences.

·         Partnering with Bluetooth SIG product management teams to create more effective tools and processes for Bluetooth developers

·         Evangelizing Bluetooth technologies to OEMs and developers world wide

·         Creation of technical content for the developer audience

·         Present at conferences, host webinars and create cool content and demos to help developers

Skills & experience

Skills and Requirements

·         Proven ability to communicate technical developer topics clearly and concisely, tailored to the appropriate audiences.

·         Experience with creating applications across mobile and embedded platforms (e.g. iOS, Android, Linux and Windows.

·         Experience with various computer languages (C will be instrumental)

·         Be seen as a trusted advisor in the Bluetooth ecosystem

·         Experience working across groups to help other Bluetooth SIG teams be successful.

·         Experience in communicating effectively to Media and Analyst.

·         Ability to work in a dynamic, self-starting environment

·         Great communication (written and verbal), presentations skills& interpersonal skills (both in English and Chinese)

·         Self-starter who loves to teach about technology with the ability to work unsupervised.

·         A strong sense of accountability and ownership of projects with a demonstrated ability to drive successful completion

·         Proven ability to plan outline and publish professional documents

·         Creates and fosters a collaborative environment

Desired

·         Experience implementing the Bluetooth protocol preferred, including GATT/GAP and profile & service creation, at the app layer and on the device (or like wireless experience)
