About the company
The key responsibilities of this role will be to drive revenue through new, proactive business development, via both existing and new relationship networks and developing and expanding agency relationships and partnerships. These combined efforts should continue to evolve, develop and improve our commercial offering, having a direct impact on the commercial business, with a focus on generating high-end to mid-size record breaking and licensing campaign solutions with Tier 1 and 2 brands and companies, while maintaining the bread and butter business driven by smaller government, associations and SME partners.
We are looking for a dynamic, professionally trained individual who has experience in the PR/advertising industry. This is a mid-level role for someone who is a proactive account manager, competent in leading clients through a complicated sales cycle, responding to briefs, creating campaigns, pitching and winning commercial business in an ‘in-house agency’, fast-paced environment.
Job description
- Achieve individual financial targets and commercial sales objectives for the region(s).
· Maximise Commercial sales revenue in assigned territories - predominantly Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu & Anhui.
- Build strategic key account relationships with big brands and agencies to develop ongoing and repeat commercial revenue.
- Work directly with HOC to review and prioritise key territory leads concentrating on big brands and agencies incoming business.
- Work with B2B marketing and PR and VP Creative on targeted and prioritised Agency and Big Brand outreach to build a network of contacts and new business opportunities.
· Organise team or solo meetings/follow up calls with clients, collaborate cross departmentally to ensure the customer gets the most appropriate information and the best brand experience
- Create proposals developing client briefs into full campaign business, positioning and utilising GWR commercial product portfolio effectively to best suit their needs
· Build and manage ongoing relationships with accounts, prospects and customers to ensure repeat business opportunities
- Follow up on all leads or outreach using sales force and ensure accurate and detailed inputting and upkeep of all sales force information
- Attend and actively contribute to all relevant internal meetings and regularly report on progress from assigned regions

Skills & experience
- 5+ years demonstrable sales experience, successfully working with agencies and brands in a B2B environment, selling creative services and trademark licensing would be ideal
- Existing network of contacts from the agency world within Shanghai an advantage
- Competent working in English, Mandarin Chinese and Shanghainese
- Proven experience of generating, preparing and winning new business with brands
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen, able to influence clients actively and positively in terms of brand management, creative and innovative solutions
- Strong account management and B2B relationship building skills
- Persuasive, personable, and an excellent communicator
- Self-motivated and determined but also a team player
- CRM experience preferred, experience in using SalesForce is a definite advantage
- Experienced in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Adept at working on and managing multiple projects with various deadlines.
