KLA-Tencor has operations in 17 countries, including China, Israel, Germany, Singapore and Belgium to name a few. Our operations in China consist of an engineering and operations support group in Shanghai, sales and support offices throughout China supporting the growing domestic IC manufacturing industry, and a manufacturing operation in Shenzhen.  We employ over 700 people in China, mostly high skilled, high paying engineering and manufacturing positions. Our operations in China are growing rapidly, with over 150 current open positions. China is a major focus of our corporation, both as a location for sales growth but also as a place to grow our operations, manufacturing and support for our corporate technology roadmap.

Job description

· Establish & maintain a strong relationship with the industry associations and appropriate government officials to understand & monitor policy and regulation changes; assess, and provide advice on the impact of those changes to KLA-Tencor business in China;

· Develop KLA-Tencor’s China government relation strategy & represent KLA-Tencor China at industry conferences, forums and events;

· Work closely with KLA-Tencor Corporate government affairs and communicate key KLA-Tencor or industry positioning messages to Chinese government stakeholders;

· Build a strong network with other multi-national companies and trade associations

· Promote KLA-Tencor business interests in China and serve as a key point of contact for the media/external communication (trade shows, local internet, etc.)

· Provide leadership for external communications function for KT China

· Leverage strong government relations to support KLA-Tencor business as needed in China

Skills & experience

· Bachelor degree in business or related fields

· 5 ~ 8 years of MNC’s working experience in government relations or related functions, global experience is a plus

· Strategic thinking and self-driven

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact and influence senior officials and executives

· Good team player and work effectively in a matrix organization environment

· Fluent in Chinese and English, both spoken and written

· Willingness and ability to travel as needed
