Cover

With all aspects of society becoming increasingly digitised, an incredible amount of personal information is now available online, and not always with the data subjects’ knowledge or consent. This can leave people exposed to exploitation or blackmail, if their data gets into the wrong hands. China is now taking steps to control how personal information gathered within its borders can be used and should be stored by businesses. The July/August 2021 issue of EURObiz looks at the Personal Information Protection Law, and the possible implications for European companies.
