Membership Categories
Applications are subject to final acceptance from the European
Chamber Union of Commerce in China. The Chamber
reserves the right to refuse membership.

| Corporate Categories |
|
| |
Corporate Membership
(Applies to EU registered companies) |
- Corporations, partnerships and other legal entities engaged in business in China and established under EU laws.
- Companies for which EU entities and/or EU citizens hold a controlling interest.
- Must be legally established entities in China.
- Membership fees are dependant upon the number of employees that the corporate group has worldwide.
- Corporate Members receive:
- voting rights at the Annual General Meeting (AGM),
- participation in Working Groups and voting rights if the company has a genuine business interest.

| Additional Corporate Membership |
- Applies to affiliates/branches of Corporate Members located in cities within the PRC where a European Union Chamber of Commerce office is located.
- Preferential membership fee.
- Receives all European Chamber privileges and services but holds no voting rights at the AGM.

Associate Membership
(Applies to non-EU companies based in China) |
- Corporations, partnerships or others legal entities doing business in China with headquarters in countries which are not members of the EU zone but with strong business interests in the European Union.
- Members benefit from a preferential membership fee, receive all European Chamber privileges and services but have no voting rights at the AGM.
- Member cannot be elected as Chairman or Vice-Chairman of a Working Group and have no voting right at the AGM.

| Additional Associate Membership |
- Additional Associate Member applies to Corporate Associate Members with branches in others cities within the PRC where a European Chamber office is located.
- Preferential membership fee.

National Membership
(Applies to Corporate Membership and Associate Membership)

National Membership covers membership for all companies in your group throughout China, giving you the benefit of services from all our local chapters for a single annual fee.
- Available to new and existing members.
- Offers the same benefits as Corporate Membership or Associate Membership.
- Membership fees are dependant upon the number of employees that the corporate group has worldwide

Non-Resident Membership
(Applies to EU registered companies with no legal representative presence in PRC) |
- Corporations, partnerships or others legal entities doing business in China and established under EU laws but with no legal presence in PRC.
- Non-Resident members enjoy the same privileges and services as Corporate Members however, their employees cannot be elected as Chairman or Vice-Chairman of a Working Group and have no voting rights at the AGM.

| Individual Membership (Applies to EU Passport Holders) |
- Individuals who hold an EU passport and who are working for a company that is not eligible to join the European Chamber.
- All privileges and services offered by the European Chamber but cannot be elected as Chairman or Vice Chairman of a Working Group and has no voting rights at the AGM.

| Employees of a Member Company |
- When a company becomes a member of the European Chamber, all employees of that company automatically become members of the European Chamber and benefit from the same privileges and services.
