Independent (Auto) Aftermarket Desk Go back »

The Aftermarket (AM) Initiative aims to explore the possibilities of applying an EU-type Exemption Regulation (Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation, MVBER) in China, to improve the accessibility of the AM business to suppliers, reduce the OEM’s interference in the auto component market, and improve the existing regulatory framework with a view to improve operating conditions for auto components suppliers in China, given the immaturity of the current regulatory environment and the government great attention to this sector.

The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen the European Chamber’s and AM Initiative’s members lobbying capabilities in China by defending the combined interest of members active in China and providing information on Chinese trade and industrial policies, laws and regulations essential to operators in the PRC.

  • Chair: Mr Felix Koo, Schaeffler Greater China
