The long-awaited, revised Standardisation Law was promulgated by the National People’s Congress on 4 November, 2017, bringing significant changes to the previous standardisation system. Next Joint Carbon Market Working Group Meeting

Dear Working Group member,

With China set to launch its national emissions trading system (ETS) by the end of the year, most probably in the context of the 23rd Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP23) to the UN Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bonn (from 6th to 17th November), and the State Council set to approve the ETS implementing plan, many questions still remain unanswered. Up to these days, China has been struggling to get data for all industrial sectors and to determine the allocation of allowances.
