After its first revision in two decades, the new PRC Advertising Law will come into force on September 1st, 2015. The new Law has reflected the central leadership’s will in transforming governmental functions and strengthening in- and post-market supervision, and is expected to have wide impact over businesses in the consumer goods and services sector.
As the effective date draws close, the industry is hoping for systematic understanding of terms that are introduced for the first time under the new Law: false advertising, internet advertising, juvenile advertising, advertising endorsement, and so on. To address these face-to-face, the European Chamber will host an Exclusive Dialogue with Deputy Director General Huang Xinmin, Department of Advertising Regulation at the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC). At this event, DDG Huang will advise participants on the timeline of the Implementation Regulations of the Advertising Law, and respond to enquiries towards hot topics including but limited to those listed above.
To ensure the best feedback, you are strongly encouraged to submit questions for DDG Huang in advance to Melody Ji mji@europeanchamber.com.cn, by July 1st COB.
This event is off-the-record. The European Chamber will provide consecutive translation during the presentation and Q&A session.
