The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is pleased to invite you to the next edition of our public affairs seminar, Capital Beat, on 25th November, 2014, at SK Tower. During this seminar leading China experts will discuss the results of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee (Fourth Plenum) and its implications for international businesses operating in China.
Fourth Plenum sessions are traditionally opportunities to formulate and cement Party governance, and to implement policies agreed upon during the previous Third Plenum session. For the first time ‘rule of law’ is the centrepiece of the agenda and it is expected that policy-makers will focus on consolidating anti-graft efforts in addition to pushing the reforms that will help to balance the economy.
Our expert speakers will provide insightful analysis on the outcome of the Fourth Plenum. Confirmed speakers include Mr. Jim McGregor, Greater China Chairman, APCO Worldwide, Dr Ren Jin and Dr. Zhang Xiaoyu, Law Department, Chinese Academy of Governance and Dr. He Jiahong, Professor, Renmin University. This high-level gathering will be of significant use to decision makers and key executives that would benefit from a deeper understanding of the implications of the Fourth Plenum and how it could impact their business and future in China.
