Design Thinking is a highly-efficient and systematic 5-phase innovation approach developed at Stanford University. Its main goal is to find simple solutions to complex problems. What Kaizen was for Manufacturing Design Thinking is for Innovation, combining lean and agile.
However, to come up with comprehensive solutions to complex business and social problems, business viability and technological feasibility must have to be addressed with appropriate tools and methods: Therefore, we introduce Design Thinking inspired by “Jobs to be Done Theory”:
After more than 10 years of helping multinationals and medium-sized companies around the globe, we have iterated Design Thinking. Our Design Thinking Approach is greatly enhanced with the “Jobs to be Done” Theory, popularized by Harvard Professors Clayton Christenson and Tony Ulwick. It explains WHY people “hire” a certain product or service: mainly to get a specific job done. These specific “jobs” should be the unit of analysis. If we deeply understand the “real jobs” that our clients and users want to get done, then we are creating innovative products, services, new business and solve complex problems, that will add deep value to our internal / external users.
In this course you will experience a full Design Thinking Cycle and its core principles:
- Empathy & Define Phase: using “job canvas” and the 5 principles to explore opportunities for innovation.
