Background
With the purpose of developing the digital economy work for the construction of the ‘Two Districts’ in Beijing, and under the guidance of the Beijing ‘Two Districts’ office, the Haidian District Government and Beijing Institute of Technology is working on the research topic of ‘digital trade port’. Commissioned by the Beijing ‘Two Districts’ Working Group on Digital Economy and the Haidian District Government, the Beijing Institute of Technology Task Force plans to organize a closed-door seminar on the "Two Districts" of Beijing to discuss on cross-border data transfer regulations. The task force will invite representatives of government departments such as the Cybersecurity Office under the Beijing Municipal Committee and the Municipal Bureau of Economic and Social Affairs, as well as a number of senior experts in relevant domestic fields and representatives of key enterprises to attend the meeting.
为深入落实北京市“两区”建设中数字经济发展的工作部署,在北京市“两区”办的指导下,海淀区政府与北京理工大学将合作进行“数字贸易港”规则研究课题。受北京市“两区”办数字经济工作组、海淀区政府委托,北理工课题组织召开北京市“两区”建设数字经济规则研讨会(闭门会),围绕“数据出境规则”进行研讨。课题组将邀请北京市委网信办、市经信局等政府主管部门代表,以及多位国内相关领域资深专家、重点企业代表参会。

Meeting Details
The meeting will be offline at Haidian district (Beijing), on Saturday 10th April, 9am-12pm. The language is Chinese without translation services.
The meeting will start with a presentation of the work of the ‘Two Districts’ and its latest developments. During the meeting, the Haidian District Government will invite attending companies to share their inquiries and needs in regards to cross-border data transfer.
Registration
To register, we ask your kind help into registering through Ms. Cindi Yu before Wednesday 7th April, COB. Registration email shall include: your name, title, company name, and contact details in both English and Chinese.
Please note that only once you receive an email confirmation, your registration will be considered as validated and therefore submitted to the municipal government. To maximise attendance, we will limit registration of maximum 2 people from the same company to attend the meeting, with priority to industry stakeholders in cross-border data transfer.
