Please find updates for next Tuesday’s PCR Working Group meeting below.
The European Chamber is delighted to invite you attend the 1st PCR working group kick-off meeting in 2019. The meeting will take place on Tuesday 19 March at 9:30-11:40am in both Shanghai and Beijing office via videoconference facility. In this meeting, we will elect the working group Chairs and Vice Chairs, and discuss the Position Paper and the priorities of the PCR working group in 2019.
We will also hear a presentation from Ms. Dandan Yang, General Manager at Greenment (GEIT), who will speak on the following topic:
Pollution Discharge Permit (PDP) is designed to be the only administrative permission for an industry enterprise in operation stage. The presentation and discussion will focus on the following key points:
· Differences: the National PDP and existing local PDPs
· Timeline and Scope: the 'Catalogue'
· Challenges and Opportunities: Application and Post-PDP Supervision

Chairs Election:
In this meeting, 2019 PCR Working Group Chair Election will be organized. Chair and Vice-Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group, which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to Chinese and European government authorities and steering Working Group meetings.
Should you be interested in putting your name forward for election or nominate any candidate, please send a short biography and a motivation letter, stating whether you intend to run for Chair or Vice Chair and your plans to promote the working group to Ms. Rachel Rapaport at rrapaport@europeanchamber.com.cn no later than Tuesday 12 March, 2019.
In accordance with European Chamber internal guidelines, another email will be sent to the Working Group prior to the election, with the biographies and motivation letters of all candidates attached. Voting for the election, one vote per company, must be conducted in person at the Working Group meeting after each candidate has had the opportunity to give a short speech on why they would like to run for election. The duration of the term for both Chairs and Vice Chairs is one year. All elected Chairpersons must sign the attached Code of Conduct, following election. To familiarize yourself with the Code of Conduct and responsibilities as chairs, please refer to the attached Starter Kit.
We encourage as many of our members as possible to attend the meeting to have their say in the leadership and representation of the Working Group in the year ahead. You are welcome to attend by registering online or contacting Ms. Rachel Rapaport at rrapaport@europeanchamber.com.cn.

Ms. Dandan Yang
Ms. Dandan Yang
Ms. Dandan Yang is the managing partner, principle consultant of GEIT in Shanghai. With 18 years of working experiences on EHS management and consulting, Ms. Yang is specialized in Pollution Discharge Permit (PDP) strategy, regulatory services, EHS Management system, EHS compliance assurance, EHS Due Diligence audit, and, esp. EHS training services. She has rich experiences in both technical and managerial EHS training program development and delivery.
Ms. Yang’s working experience includes: AP Area EHS Service Manager with Honeywell, senior consultant and service manager with ERM, EHS Manager with GE (China) Technology Center, EHS
Manager with Johnson & Johnson Medical China & Shanghai, and as an EHS Supervisor with Shanghai Wyeth Nutritional.
Ms. Yang has provided EHS consulting services for both local and multinational clients at numerous industrial facilities. She has been supporting more than 100 MNC clients including GE, 3M, Arkema,
PPG, Akzonobel, Delphi, Corning, Lanxess, Evonik, Tyco, ABF, Morgan, Air Products, DSM, Honeywell, Henkel, Cabot, Johnson and Johnson, BP, China Industrial Bank and CNOOC, etc.
Ms. Yang has a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and a master degree in Environment Engineering. She is also a certified China National Safety Engineer, and qualified as Senior Engineer in Chemical Safety.
