The newly revised standardisation law《新标准化法》 was officially implemented on 1January 2018. As the supreme law of standardisation, the newly revised standardisation law clearly aims to strengthen standardisation and improve product and service quality. In the new law, the scope, structure and level of the standards are clearly stipulated, and a new standard system of coordination between government standards and market standards is also constructed. To implement the standardisation law, Shanghai Standardization Regulations (Draft)《上海市标准化条例(草案)》征求意见稿 was issued on 8 May, 2018. In addition, Shanghai Municipal Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau issued Shanghai Enterprise Product Standard Self-Declaration Public Supervision and Inspection Implementation Opinion (Provisional)《上海市企业产品标准自我声明公开监督检查实施意见(暂行)》on 5 July, 2016 and Shanghai Enterprise Product Standard Self-Declaration Publicity and Supervision and Management Measures《上海市企业产品标准自我声明公开和监督管理办法》on 19 October, 2017.
