The event is exclusively for celebrating the 68^th anniversary of the “Schuman Declaration” widely recognized as the milestone for the political and economic integration of the European Union.

Annually on the Europe Day, a variety of influential figures are invited to attend this most significant, grand and business-layered celebration organized by the chamber, including the Consul Generals of the major foreign consulates in the region, along with senior-level representatives from EUCCC member companies, public authorities, transnational corporations, financial sectors, legal consultancies, cultural and art sectors, public media, overseas returnees, and other celebrities of Chongqing. In 2018, the European Chamber will join hands with Chongqing 303 Theater, together with you, to enjoy this remarkable yet special show on “the European Drama Life”, where there will also be tremendous amount of surprises and lucky draw prizes waiting for you.

Introduction of Europe Day 关于欧洲日:

On the May 9^thof 1950, the Former French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman articulated the proposal edited by Jean Monnet for the creation of an organized Europe, indispensable to the maintenance of peaceful relations. The proposal, also known as the “Schuman Declaration”, is considered to be the beginning of the creation of what is now the European Union with its 28 Member States. The 9th of May has become a European symbol (Europe Day), which, along with the flag, the anthem, the motto and the single currency (the Euro), identifies the political entity of the European Union. The Europe Day is the occasion for activities and festivities that bring Europe closer to its citizens and people.

1950年5月9日，前法国外交部长罗伯特·舒曼发表了一份由学者让·莫内起草编辑的宣言，旨在建立一个永久和平且团结的欧洲。这份宣言，又被称为“舒曼宣言”，是现今欧盟28国一体化进程的奠基石。欧盟盟旗，盟曲，盟训以及其单一货币(欧元)，和欧洲日一同构建了欧盟的政治共识。庆祝欧洲日，为的是使欧洲人民更融洽的走进彼此。

About 303 Theater 关于国瑞303艺术剧场:

303 is a cultural arts incubation platform centered on dramatic art. Upholding the spirit of using drama to lead the cultural life, and developing small theater drama market, it becomes a pioneer of avant-garde drama in Chongqing and leads the development of small theater in Chongqing. With the concept “dramatize your life,” 303 gathers a group of young people with rich professional stage performance experience and great passion for dramatic culture. As the incubation platform, 303 people creates the original stage drama, organizes various salon activities, master lecture and art exchange, holds youth director training program, drama arts festival, and has successful built a national theater.
