Dear HR Director,
We are delighted to inform you that the European Chamber is organizing its third exclusive HRD Roundtable which will take place on Friday, 20th April, 2:30pm-5:00pm at the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Shanghai Chapter office.
As The Economist phrased is “Data is the new Oil” and data privacy is becoming one of the most important topics for foreign companies. The PRC Cyber Security Law which became effective on 1st June 2017 has caused concerns among MNCs especially on the restriction of using and transferring the personal data. What are the implications for the HR function and the real risks for foreign companies operating in China? What mitigation actions can be envisaged?
We are delighted to have Mrs. Joanna Yeo, Greater China Human Resources Vice President at Bayer as this Roundtable’s Moderator and to welcome again Mrs. Jeanette Yu, Vice Chair of the European Chamber Human Resources Working Group, as the Event Host and Godmother.
The presentation will be followed by a roundtable discussion, where participants will be invited to share their experience, challenges and best practices. These Roundtable Meetings are reserved for Human Resources Heads of the European Chamber Member Companies. They are a prime opportunity for them to meet, network, exchange useful information and best practices.
We would love to have you joining and sharing your insights. As we would like to have a lively discussion, the number of seats of this roundtable will be limited. Please let me know at the earliest opportunity if this is of interest and should you have any further question.
With best regards,
Albane Salzberg
