Dear Working Group members,
The Research & Development Working Group is glad to invite you to the next Working Group meeting and elections, that will take place on Friday, 16th March 2017, 14:00-16:00 at the European Chamber Shanghai Office.
In an knowledge based economy and in the face of increasing global competition, corporates embrace partnerships with academic research institutions for collaborative R&D. The list of world breaking inventions that were originally university research projects ranges from the invention of the seat belt and the GPS to Google.
But at which stage is industry-academic collaboration in China currently? And what might be obstacles for the both sides to deepen their cooperation efficiently? In this meeting, a host of speakers from research institution, university and industry R&D professionals are set to discuss solutions, as well as share opinions and best practices.
In addition, we will have a discussion on 2018 Working Group plan, as well as the R&D Position Paper (PP) 2018/2019.
