As Chinese investment continues to increase in the EU in fields such as real estate, energy, hospitality, transportation, and heavy industry, the financial crisis and fall of the Euro are helping Chinese firms expand China's power through finance and infrastructure. Le Corre and Sepulchre will look at cases of outbound investment trajectories and journeys by some Chinese private and state-owned companies. They will also take a look at European perceptions of China.
The European Chamber is delighted to welcome authors Philippe Le Corre and Alain Sepulchre, who in their new book China’s Offensive in Europe, examine how China’s presence in Europe can serve as a benchmark to other developed economies—especially US, which is also seeing a rise in Chinese investments. In this event, participants will learn about the trends, sectors and target countries of Chinese investments in Europe.
