On 11 September, Johannes Dietsch, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Board, and General Manager Ioana Kraft presented the Position Paper 2013/2014 at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO) in Vienna. This was the second time the paper was presented in Austria. The presentation was followed by lively discussion.
On 12th September, a delegation led by European Chamber Vice-President Jens Ruebbert visited Berlin. The Delegation visited the Chinese Embassy in Berlin and met with Ambassador Shi Mingde. At the meeting the Delegation Presented this year’s Position Paper and the study on Chinese ODI in the EU as well as highlighting specific issues including the implementation of the new Chinese visa regulations. Ambassador Shi gave updates on China-Germany and China-EU updates. He also highlighted the importance of the Shanghai Integrated Free Trade Zone for further opening up.
The European Chamber Delegation then presented the Position Paper at the annual international gathering of German Chambers in Berlin.
